Heart Rate Training

The Suunto® Team system is going to give you the edge in training. It is amazingly simple yet crucial during the class. You and the Instructor really need to know what intensity level you are training at, at all times during the class. Should you have a personal trainer, they will also want access to this data and that is what Suunto® Team delivers (Visit their Training Manual)

It is critical you get to your class on time because once the class starts you are not able to log onto the Suunto® Team session as it will be in record mode for that session.

The Heart Rate Monitor – getting kitted

The Suunto® Heart Rate monitors / straps are available for use in the studio for free. They are fully machine washable and are cleaned after every session.
Suunto Heart Rate monitors: This is the hardened round disk like object with the chip that communicates to the PC in it and the comfy strap / elastic band attaches to. Your instructor will give you one when you come into the Studio and will ask you to leave a bank card or drivers licence (or something similar) to ensure you return these to us. (note whatever you leave will be eye sight throughout training and retained in a tray for you)

Take a note of the number of the belt, as you will need to know this when you log yourself onto the Computer System and allocate this belt to your name. The instructor will assist you. When you finish your class, please be sure to return these and get your ‘collateral’ back. DONOT go home with our Heart Rate Monitors please!

Owning your own Suunto Heart Rate monitors: The benefits will be that you will not need to log into a class when you come into the studio, the system will know you are there and so when the recording starts it pick your personal HRM up automatically. (You could thus arrive late for the class and still get your work out feedback, as the system will just log you when it picks you up even though it is in record mode for the rest of the class).
