Happy New Year!
How are those resolutions going? It is mid January and I hope you are sticking to those focused on health. Remember – we all come out the blocks firing with big plans – keep them simple, attainable, mix them into your lifestyle so that you can enjoy them and even if it is 1 spinning session a week for the next 2 and a half months ( ie you have bought 10 sessions) stick with it and you will see the improvements.
Please remember – we all fire up at the beginning of the year after Christmas and want to loose weight, as I say to everyone, yes we all want to be sculptured like a sports car, but in truth, it is the engine under the hood that keeps things ticking for years to come ~ so invest in your health and stick to the controlled Heart Rate training. The improvement in your respiratory system will occur with in 2 weeks and weight loss will come in time with a healthy eating plan and lifestyle blended in with your training.
I plan to ramp up the support you are getting with your goals and training this year and shortly you will see some new developments on the web to support this. I would really like all of you to have remote personal training and access to advice on: training, nutrition, healthy lifestyles and fun things to do around cycling mixed in with a few social events. 1-2-1 personal training is costly and is not for everyone. With our personalised Heart Rate feedback I am really trying hard to build a studio that will deliver a 1-2-1 service in a group session. Finally I would like to incorporate some upper body / yoga workouts and am looking at Pilates. I do think the group sessions are fun and the vibe at Pedal Studio is a good one.
Is the Studio too full ? If it is and you are not mailing me to tell me and suggest other suitable Spinning times to open – then this is your fault, I can only respond to your ideas and I need to provide the service you want.
I have noticed numbers are up and in Summer I hope the Spinning in the Park will keep the focus and keep us all cool. I am looking to expand the Studio into bigger premises and classes of 30 to 40 bikes are on the cards. Please do send feedback and help me build the Studio to provide for your needs.
My wish for this year is to see a buzzing studio, where friends meet and are training together. I hope you start to try out Triathlons or Mountain Biking. I have really worked hard to get you access to out door coaches and I want to see you entering a few races – try it, it really helps give focus to a healthy fun lifestyle and you make cool friends along the way. Check out the Studio’s very own PRO VO2 Tri Club and take the plunge and just register for an event 6 months away. Speak to the coaches or me, we will help you get there. We will help get you out onto the road and confident and if it is bike selections you need help with, drop me a line.
You will see some exciting development with TORQ the nutrition experts and the Mountain biking Testing centre Matt from TORQ is putting together is going to be something we will link into and add to the fun – so watch this space for announcements!
