Our instructors are all professionally qualified through Madd Dogs Spinning. They are committed to delivering you the ultimate Spinning experience and are passionate about it.
Please note that whilst you may expect them to push the limits and keep up with you in the classes, that is not their focus and they are not there for their work out but to coach and instruct you. As such they may very well instruct from what we call ‘off the bike’. Do not be surprised if you find the coaches are not pushing themselves in classes. If they have their heads down and pushing hard – they are not doing their jobs – they need to be focusing on you and delivering your ride with their eyes focused on all of your heart rates at all times.
Whilst instructors may be quick to dash off after class as many of them have other commitments and classes to teach, if you do have questions or feedback you are welcome to address them through Andrew or catch the instructors before class. You will find Andrew’s email and mobile number on the contacts page.

Tina has a degree from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) in Nutrition and has recently been certified as a Madd Dog Level 1 instructor. She is an avid runner having completed a number of half and full marathons and sees spinning as an excellent way to cross train. During her class her goal is to get you to have fun and sweat lots within your controlled heart rate zone. She is not averse to firing the odd cheesy 80’s track at you either!

In turn, her experience as a cyclist has helped her design Spinning classes to enhance performance on the road. Although Lisa adopts a cycle-based approach to classes, she is committed to motivating individuals regardless of objectives and fitness levels. "I will help you along with music to drive yourself to reach those fitness goals. My classes are energising and inspirational, and I love the buzz that fills the room after a great Spinning session."
Richard Collier
richard.collier@pedalstudio.co.uk
Richard may be a professional singer but his wife calls him her ‘cycling nutter’! To be fair, he is happiest donned in lycra, slogging it out on the most challenging ride he can find on his titanium racer. His ‘thing’ on a bike is Sportives (allegedly they’re not races) of which he has completed many. In 2008 these included the gruelling Marmotte and the tough Tour of Ireland (515 miles in 4 days). It was as part of his winter training for these that he started Spinning. It was almost inevitable that his passion for Spin would grow; becoming an instructor was the next logical step. Spinning allows Richard to share his love of cycling and music in leading fun, yet challenging classes with a specific training goal.
Rob Baldi
rob.baldi@pedalstudio.co.uk
Robert has been a cyclist for over 30 years, teaching indoor cycling since 2003, and a certified Spinning instructor since 2006, becoming a full-time professional in 2007. His classes are influenced by his experience as a language teacher, nightclub DJ, amateur cyclist, international negotiator, and a passion for the Spinning programme and the life changes that it can help deliver.
Jill Richmond
jill.richmond@pedalstudio.co.uk
Jill has always been a bit of a fitness 'fanatic' from a very early age. She has completed a number of half and full marathons, incorporating spinning and yoga to her schedule to round out her training and keep challenging her own fitness levels. She certified as a Madd Dog Level 1 instructor in 2005 delivering power controlled classes in her former home in Washington, D.C. and is now eager to motivate her classes in London with some equally challenging and effective training.
Karen Caldwell
karen.caldwell@pedalstudio.co.uk
Karen is originally from Australia and has always cycled. She lived in the 'bush' so had to cycle to visit friends...dirt tracks and farm roads you name it. She has always cycled to and from work in both Australia and London and loves nothing more than getting out on the bike on weekends! So chat to her for tips on traffic management !
She has been spinning for a few years and loves every single session, her passion will permiate into the class. She loves to challenge people, to have fun on the ride and to encourage riders to perform outside of their comfort zones in a controlled manner. She describes herself as a bit of a slave driver and doesn't give much recovery - 'we only have 45 mins right?' (tip: Hydrate whilst you work - that's what it is like in a race). She has taught classes in China and was quick to learn mandarin.
She now teaches spin at every chance - before and after work, during lunch hours and on weekends....and like most, she is addicted to spin! Spinning aside travelling and photography are her other passions in life. Join her class and let her energy motivate you.
Mark Harrild
mark.harrild@pedalstudio.co.uk
Mark loves to spin.
His background is running – Having completed 2 London Marathons, 1 NYC Maarthon and 1 Paris Marathon, the future changed when a friend said‘Hey, fancy trying Spinning.’ Mark hasn’t looked back since. Mak cycled 'London to Brighton' earlier this year.
He will be completing his 1st Duathlon in early September and then looking to hit the swimming pool in preparation for a Tri late 2009.
If he could, Mark would spin 24/7. His enthusiasm spills through to his sessions with cool music to suit all tastes.
If Marks students are happy, he is happy
